DVD rental information
Rental packages
DVD rental involves a monthly subscription to the rental company. There are 2 types. Limited and Unlimited.
Limited rental means that you can only rent a limited number like 1 or 2 a month. You can hold on to the films for as long as you like
but you cannot rent another one until the one you have is returned.
Unlimited rental means that you can rent an unlimited amount of DVDs in one month but you can only hold a limited amount at one time,
again you have to return a film if you are holding your limit before you can get another.
Free Trials
All the DVD rental companies offer free trials. Cinema Paradiso offer a 30 free trial, this gives you ample opportunity to see if DVD rental is for you.
If you watch a few DVDs every month then it is likely to be cheaper than using your high street DVD shop, if not then setting up and paying a monthly direct debit
to view the occasional movie is probably not for you. Either way you should be able to work this out within the free trial, and if you don't want to take it up, the trial films are free.
High street DVD rental
In comparison with the high street rental shops, such as Blockbuster, the online rental works out much cheaper. There are no late fees and the actual price per
film are about half the price of blockbuster high street stores.
